A fever at SFS is measured with an ear thermometer and is defined as a fever when a student has a temperature reading of 37.8°C (100°F) or higher. Students with a fever are required to go home, after a parent/guardian is contacted for early pick up. Students will not be allowed to take the school bus home or stay at school including the Health Office to rest for an extended period of time. If parents are not able to collect their child, alternative pick-up arrangements need to be made within the hour of the first phone call from the Health Office.
Students are not to return to school until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
Notify Camp SFS Office if your child is going to be absent. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to alert Camp SFS of any unforeseen absences.
